A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Hadley makes lots of cute and funny faces and she LOVES to TALK! I don't know what she is saying but she seems to have a lot to say! I wish I had a baby translater. It's fun to get her in action with the camera over the past month...

A Work of Art?

Last week Hadley and I met some friends for lunch. We met an artist there and he offered to draw Hadley for me. I took him up on his offer and when he finished he drew me also.

Jeff doesn't think the drawings look like us so I wanted to get other opinions. What do you think?

Heat Wave!

It was a gorgeous day in sunny Santa Cruz...in the 80's! We had a nice day walking around the beach boardwalk, having lunch and then shopping downtown.

You can see the amusement park on the boardwalk in the distance...

Hadley enjoyed her first trip to the ocean and stayed covered up because it was really bright outside!

Work it Baby!

Today we had record high's in California. It was a beautiful and suuny 73 degrees! I took Hadley out in the backyard to take some pics and we had such a great time. I think each of these pics will speak for themselves. Vote and tell us which one is your favorite...

Take a Hike!

We had a really nice Sunday afternoon driving up north of San Francisco just over the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods. Muir Woods has beautiful hiking trails among the redwood trees.
Muir Woods is not only known for the redwood trees but it is the location where parts of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi was filmed!
It was Hadley's first time in the baby bjorn carrier facing forwards and she LOVED it! She went two miles in her socks! She held onto daddy's fingers the entire time and TALKED and laughed a lot to everyone passing by.

It was a warm sunny day in the 60's but the thick canopy of the trees blocks the sunlight and it appears dark and cool...

Hadley loved to look up at the trees...

Some of the redwood trees have natural caves that you can stand in. These caves are formed from fires over the years which start when lightening strikes...

Hadley has given this adventure with mommy and daddy two "thumbs up!"

Happy New Year!

Hadley celebrated her first New Year's with her friends Evan, Todd, Nicola, Alex and Uncle Scott. She partied it up until 7:30 pm! That's midnight somewhere right?
I thought this one was pretty cute...it is fun to see them get older and realize that the other one is there
